Bellybutton changes

I wish I could photograph all the weird changes my poor little bellybutton has gone through, but my belly is a little on the hairy side nowadays, and I wouldn't want people to think I normally look like Chewbacca. So I won't be doing that. Maybe it has something to do with the baby's position, or where my uterus is, but it's weird. For the past few weeks it's been rocking the "I'm really thinking about popping all the way out, but instead I'm just going to pop out halfway in one spot" look. It wasn't super cute. As of now (lol I literally just noticed 5 minutes ago) it seems like it's more flush with the rest of my belly. Which is a cuter look. I hope it stays that way!! We'll just have to wait and see ;)

Late night thoughts

1. I love shopping for crib bedding on Craigslist. You can find the cutest stuff for cheap!
2. I never got that McFlurry I was wanting earlier.
3. I'm never letting Manny open a pizza sauce jar without me knowing again.
4. Pizza sauce is not fun to clean up.
5. I'm pretty sure Noah has found a way to shove his leg up into my esophagus. He may be attempting another escape tonight.

I really hope I can sleep. I should probably start trying before Noah starts his evening mosh pits.

Alien baby.

I seriously think I'm growing an alien/monster baby. He's been trying to claw/push/kick his way out of my uterus lately.
What in the world is he doing in there?!

So I've compiled a list of things I suspect he may be doing :)

Kicking
Log rolling
Cartwheeling
Practicing karate
Practicing kick boxing (at 2 AM)
Heading butting
Elbowing
Scratching/clawing
Shoving his butt against my belly
Spazzing out
Partying
Dancing
Plotting

That's all I've got so far. I can't wait to get a 3D ultrasound to see what this little stinker has been up to. Oh, and we got him to kick Manny in the face last night. Mommy is so proud :)

Week 25!!

Dear Noah,

These past few weeks have been interesting. Daddy finally returned home from his "vacation" in Europe, and I'm so happy to have him back! It was not easy being pregnant and completely alone. I am now about 25 weeks pregnant with you, and you already have so much personality in there! It's absolutely adorable. You are starting to kick for people more, but when I try to video your little kicks, you get camera shy :) You still kick a ridiculous amount. You keep me up all night partying in there. I love it though! I definitely have cravings now!! Usually it's McDonald's french fries, but sometimes I'll want other random things. It's not as strong as I thought it would be, I usually just ignore it. You need to stop trying to make me eat unhealthy foods! :) You LOVE juice. I want it all the time! You are going to come out wanting apple juice instead of milk. Little juice junky :) But you're seriously a little punk, and I love you!

So onto the not so great fun parts of pregnancy.

Part one: Tailbone pain
OMG. I'm convinced you kicked my tailbone so hard it's now fractured. Or maybe completely snapped in half. Either way, it HURTS. In reality it's just my uterus pushing on my sciatic nerve and causing it, but when I read about it, I wasn't expecting to be crippled over it. It usually is just an annoying pain, but a few times a day i'll move funny and tweak it. That's usually when I have to lay in bed with an ice pack on my butt for the next hour or two. I can't even walk anymore :( But you're worth it so I get over it.

Part two: Labor and Delivery visits
So a little over a week ago at work, you decided to be a little stinker and gave me cramps. They didn't feel like my usual Braxton Hicks contractions (fake contractions), so after waiting over an hour, and realizing they were getting stronger and closer together, I decided to call the Dr and see what she thought. She told me to come in right away so I can be monitored. Daddy wasn't home from his trip yet, so of course I was flipping out. So I went home, packed a bag, and left for the hospital. When I got there, the nurse gave me my very own room and hooked my up to a belly monitor to record my contractions for a bit. I felt much better by then, but apparently you weren't too happy in there, so they decided to shove a needle in my arm and pump me full of fluids. That was fun :) I think I peed a gallon every 2 minutes. I'm now a pro at unhooking/re-hooking monitors and handling an IV bag with a ridiculously long cord. After a while of thrilling IV treatments, the nurse needed to test me for pre-term labor. Now I won't go into details, but I think I'd rather have a million needles stuck in me than that uncomfortable test. Uncomfortable is a SEVERE understatement. So blah blah blah more IV treatments, Doctor came in and talked to me/checked to see if I had dialated, blah blah blah just a bunch of fun stuff. I got a yummy dinner of cranberry juices, chocolate pudding, and a turkey sandwich, finished up more IV stuff, and was released a million hours later. Oh and did I mention it was COLD??? I didn't think to grab a sweatshirt. Thankfully I did pack socks. But you're fine, I'm fine, we survived and I refuse to end up back there until you're ready to come out :)

Part three: Insane water drinking
Due to my recent L&D visit, I have been instructed to drink a whole bunch of water at work so I don't end up coming back. I have no problem with that, I love water. But my bladder does have an issue. I average probably two bathroom trips in about fifteen minutes. I constantly have to go. And it's not like we have a bathroom in the back. Bathroom trips involve stairs. Or scary elevators that either break down or have scary spiders in them. Yeah I usually stick to the stairs. But seriously home slice, cool it with the bladder kicking. I can only go to the bathroom so many times before I go crazy.

Now for some awesome picture bombing.

25 weeks!
